My Hair, My Way

This is a better video showing how a quick weave is done. As of now this is my preferred method. I skipped the paper towels though. I apply a small amount of glue to the tracks with a spritz. However, I don’t make a closer piece.  I don’t like bangs and I leave hair a small horseshoe out in the front.

After 6 months, I finally decided to give my self a relaxer. I’m so proud of the length I was able to retain. However the middle strands of my hair is frizzy (check Progress Pictures II). This problem started when I started stretching for a long period of time. I do love the thickness and length of my hair now.

4346243Clarifying shampoo is used to remove a lot of build up from the hair that normal shampoo may not do (almost stripping the hair to it’s natural state). It gives the hair a really clean feeling. Everyday most people put products on their hair and yes it causes build up. Which can cause stiffness to the hair etc… Clarifying shampoo is very harsh and drying so it’s best to only use it once a month. I highly recommend doing a deep condition after using a clarifying shampoo.

I love this product like crazy!! Pretty soon I will have the whole line. I finally bought this about 2 weeks ago and used it as a deep conditioner. I sat underneath the dryer with a cap on for about 20 minutes. When I rinsed my hair, it was so soft and felt like butter, literally. This is definitely a keeper.

Sometimes finding the right products/regimen for your hair can be a pain. Stretching my relaxers has still been the major factor that helped me retain so much growth, my problem is finding products that is going to give my hair what it needs while still meeting my hair appearance satisfaction. I think I finally found the products that works for me. My regimen hasn’t really changed though.

The things that I’ve stopped using is: ORS pack (it makes my hair hard), drastically changed the amount of hair grease I put on my scalp (I use pure Shea butter/tea tree oil).

Products that I’ve added is Aphogee Pro Vitamin Leave in conditioner, Suave Vibrant Shine Shampoo, and I started mixing Shea butter oil in my conditioner. Check “My Regimen” section to see the update.
